Clinton football falls to Elgin

In the game about crowning homecoming royalty, the Clinton Red Tornadoes football team (4-5, 4-2) found itself on the wrong side of the score for the second straight week, as it fell 49-0 to the Elgin Owls (9-0, 6-0).

Arapaho-Butler hoops ready to get things going

As the calendar turns to November, high school basketball teams lace up the shoes and get to work.Both of the Arapaho- Butler basketball teams tip off the season Friday at 6:30 p.m. when they head to Hydro to take on Hydro-Eakly.

Former Clinton resident Mark Roberts and his partner recently won the National Senior Games in Des Moines, Iowa, in pickleball. They fell to the loser’s bracket out of 26 teams and stormed their way back to win the title. Roberts said the “Red Tornado spirit” came out of him to achieve the victory.

Local wanting river sports in western Oklahoma

With the summer Olympics coming to Oklahoma City in 2028, Clinton resident Luke Adams is working to get river sports at multiple locations in western Oklahoma.For Adams, he said river sports are close to his heart after he participated in them when he was in college.

Clinton football looks to rebound against Elgin

With the playoffs two weeks away, the Clinton Red Tornadoes (4-4, 4-1) welcome in the defending Class 4A State Champion Elgin Owls (8-0, 5-0) to the Tornado Bowl for a 7 p.m. kickoff Friday night.Clinton is coming off a 48-42 loss to Cache in double overtime, while Elgin won 56-0 over Douglass.

Former Tornado getting taste of college ball

As he continues through his first year of college football, former Clinton Red Tornado running back Zaedon Collins has been able to see the field for the Kilgore College Rangers down in Kilgore, Texas.In three games this season, Collins has rushed 14 times for 122 yards, which is good for 8.
