Lady Indians go 1-1 in opening two contests

Much like the Arapaho-Butler baseball team, the A-B softball team didn’t get an easy season opener right out the gate, instead it traveled to 2020, Class A, state runner-up Binger-Oney Monday night. The odds were stacked against the Lady Indians, but they competed.

CHS battles to end in Elgin loss

ELK CITY – The Clinton softball team (1-1 overall) opened up its season at the Elk City Festival Monday and split its first two games of the Shelby Anderson head coaching era, beating Vici, 4-1, in four innings, before then falling to Canute, 8-4, in four innings.

Clinton volleyball wins opener in five sets

ERICK – An early, two-set lead for the Clinton volleyball team disintegrated over the next two sets, as CHS found itself in a dogfight at Erick Monday night, for the winner-takeall, fifth set. CHS won the first two sets, 25-18 and 25-22. It then lost the next two by scores of, 25-17, and 29-27.

Clinton struggles in first practice

Monday morning’s practice signaled the beginning of the highly-anticipated, 2021 Clinton football season, but it wasn’t the opening practice that fourth-year head coach John Higbee envisioned. Clinton’s coach was less than pleased with what he saw in the early morning, defensive practice.

SWOSU football returning after cancelled 2020

When the SWOSU football team steps back on the field for its first game of the 2021 season, it will have been nearly two years since the program’s last contest. SWOSU played at rival NWOSU on Nov. 16, 2019 and that was the last game the Bulldogs competed in.
