Lady Reds gearing up for Monday’s opener

The 2021 Clinton softball season is just a few days away, as the Lady Reds will travel to Elk City Monday and compete in a festival to kick off the year. First-year head coach Shelby Anderson gets a deeplyexperienced but still youthful CHS softball roster to work with.

Clinton’s Meacham participates at nationals

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Softball season is fast approaching for Clinton High School sophomore Kat Meacham, but that doesn’t mean she didn’t have some extra fuel in the tank to compete at the USA Track and Field Junior Olympic National Meet last week. Meacham continued to hone her skills this summer.

Area gymnasts bring home Junior Olympic medals

HUMBLE, Texas – Young athletes in western Oklahoma continue to shine on a national level and that remained true with 10-year-old, Arapaho gymnast Jacy Fawver and seven-year-old, Clinton gymnast Leah Fanshier at the AAU Jr. Olympics this past weekend.

CHS starts fall practice Monday

Monday morning kicks off the Clinton football team’s pursuit of another gold ball, as the Red Tornadoes will open two-a-day practices at 7 a.m. that morning. The Reds will practice until 9 a.m. and then come back at 2 p.m. that day for a second practice. That practice will run from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

ADM near top of 4A for Reds

The OSSAA released its tentative ADM for the 2021- 2022 school year Wednesday morning, and Clinton High School saw itself amongst the top schools in Class 4A. CHS boasts an ADM of 630.02, which is in the top eight of 4A and on the verge of 5A.
