CPSF raises money through annual golf tourney

During its 10th annual School Spirit Golf Tournament, the Clinton Public School Foundation raised more than $20,000 that will go toward teacher grants, scholarships and student academic achievement events.

Meacham preparing for KU sophomore season

Heading into her second year at the college level of track and field, former Clinton thrower Kat Meacham is getting back to work.As the season gets closer, Meacham said she was so ready to get back to work that she returned to college early to put in the extra time.

The boys of fall have returned to the gridiron.Friday night, the Clinton Red Tornado football team (0-1) kicked off the season against Heritage Hall in the Tornado Bowl, where the Red Tornadoes would get shut out 30-0.

Clinton falls to Kingfisher in OT

Despite finding itself down two touchdowns twice in the game Friday in Kingfisher, the Clinton Red Tornado football team (0-2) managed to fight back both times before falling in the extra period 35-28 to the Yellowjackets.

Clinton falls to Chandler

The Clinton Red Tornado football team (0-3) ended its non-district schedule with a 32-7 loss Friday to Chandler on the road.For acting coach Gene Ray, he said the team has to stop the negative plays that are hurting them.

With its back to the wall and down to its final play of the game, the Clinton Red Tornado football team (1-3, 1-0) stole victory from the Weatherford Eagles, as Clinton scored on fourth down in overtime and connected for the two-point try to win 22-21 in the “Custer County Conflict.

Clinton rallies to defeat Elk City

The Clinton Red Tornado football team (3-3, 3-0) came out on top 17-12 over its I-40 neighbor, the Elk City Elks (2-4, 1-2), in a tough battle Friday in the Tornado Bowl.

The Clinton Red Tornado football team (4-3, 4-0) continued its district winning streak Thursday night in Woodward, as the team took down the Boomers (2-5, 1-3) 14-3 in a slugfest.For Clinton’s acting coach Gene Ray, he said even though they got the win, it wasn’t how he wanted it to happen.
