CHS wrestling looking forward to new season

With the weather getting colder, the Clinton High School wrestling teams, led by first-year coach Rhett Blundell, are warming up to battle their way to the state tournament.

CHS basketball ready and excited for new season

With Clinton done on the gridiron, the teams on the hardwood are preparing for their season to begin.The Lady Reds finished last season with a 5-22 record in year two of the Two Jefferson era, a fivewin increase from the year before.

A-B basketball battles Hammon

Despite splitting the doubleheader Tuesday night at home, the Arapaho-Butler basketball teams went toe-to-toe with the visiting Hammon Warriors in both games.

Clinton NEXT League wraps inaugural season

With the competition of the championship game Monday night, a 6-0 defensive win for the Maroon Team, the Clinton NEXT League completed its first season of operation playing peewee football.Looking back at the season, L.J. Williams said it went just as they had hoped it would have.

The Clinton Red Tornado football team (4-7, 4-3) saw its season come to an end Friday night after losing 51-6 in Tuttle to the Tigers in the first round of the Class 4A State Playoffs.

Smith wins final picks contest

For last week’s edition of the Clinton Daily News’ Pigskin Football Contest, the final one of the 2025 season, Janice Smith, of Clinton, took home the top prize after correctly guessing all 10 games in the first round of the playoffs.
