The wins keep piling up for the Clinton freshman/junior varsity football team and quarterback Cooper Sulley, who tries to stay inbounds after hurdling teammate Garrison Rhoads in the above picture. The Reds (5-0 overall) beat Elgin Monday night on the road, 28-20, to stay a perfect on the year.

Saucier wins FB contest

Ronald Saucier of Clinton won this week’s S&D Drug foot ball pick ‘ems contest. Saucier selected six out of seven games correctly, earning him a tie at the top of the contest.

BF-DC picks up win, CBA set to return

The Burns Flat-Dill City football team (3-3 overall, 1-2 in district) has hit some bumps in the road during its transition from Class B, eight-man football up to Class A, 11-man football, but through six games, it’s still playing competitive football and at .500.

CACHE – On the same field where Clinton won its last district title (2018), the No. 10 Red Tornadoes (4-1 overall, 2-0 in district) notched a major, 21-14 district victory against the No. 7 Cache Bulldogs (3-3, 1-2) Friday night and avenged their 2019 defeat as well.

The Clinton junior high football teams went 1-2 versus Weatherford’s squads Thursday night at home. The Clinton ninth grade/junior varsity squad (4-0 overall) remains undefeated on the year, after taking down its Weatherford counterpart, 28-0.
