CHS softball looking to add wins at tourney

Clinton softball (14-12 overall as of press time Thursday) was scheduled to play out day one of the Sayre Tournament Thursday (yesterday). The Lady Reds are looking to end a three-game skid.

Every year Clinton football’s non-district schedule features tough opponents, but CHS took it to another level in 2020, closing out its first three games at Class 2A, No. 6 Millwood. The Red Tornadoes (1-1 overall) and ranked Falcons (1-1) meet at 7 p.m. Friday.

Space limited for game

Friday’s matchup between the Clinton football team (1-1 overall) and the Class 2A, No. 6 Millwood Falcons will feature a seats restriction in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Murray wins contest

Tom Murray of Clinton won this week’s S&D Drug football pick ‘ems contest. Murray was the only contestant to select nine of 10 games correctly. His correct selections of Jenks, Owasso and Carl Albert proved to be a major difference in the win.
