A strong outing from sophomore starting pitcher Kenzie Kauk and solid outfield play keyed by sophomore right fielder Saydee Starnes kept the Clinton softball team within striking distance of rival and district opponent Weatherford Monday, but it wasn’t enough.

A good portion of the 2020 schedule remains, and the Clinton softball team (14-12 overall as of press time Friday) is more than capable to handle it, with the entire roster healthy, for now. The much-hyped, three-girl pitching rotation for 2020 is finally slated to be together.

Reds playing Sept. 25

Thursday was a chaotic day for the Clinton football players, coaches and fans. Around 5:30 p.m. it was confirmed that Clinton football’s game at Millwood was cancelled due to a massive player quarantine. A player from Millwood’s week-two opponent, Douglass, tested positive for COVID-19.

Arapaho-Butler going strong into districts

ARAPAHO – The 2020, fast-pitch softball regular season is winding down, and the Arapaho-Butler softball team (18-10 overall as of press time Thursday) is in solid position, with an ongoing, threegame winning streak. The Lady Indians are putting together a strong finish at the right time.
