End of 1st Clinton 7 Elk City 7 Culver scrambles around and fires to a wide open Mason Price. He goes in for a 29-yard score. EC leads 7-0. Atrel Bryson picks up where he left off last week, taking a sweep pitch and zooming in from 61 yards out to tie the game on Clinton's first offensive play.

Denney plays selfless football for Reds

Clinton senior football player Dalton Denney earned his title as the most versatile player on the roster, seeing time at numerous positions for the Reds. Denney entered high school as a quarterback and started for the freshmen team and then the junior varsity team the following year.

Eighth grade unbeaten

Clinton Middle School wide receiver Jeremiah Barker and the eighth grade football team moved to 6-0 Tuesday after beating Elgin, 52-6. The Whirlwinds also blew out Weatherford, 46-8, last week on the road.

Corn Bible Crusaders win first game of 2019

Mark down win No. 1 of the season for the Corn Bible Academy football team (1-5 overall, 1-2 in district), as it dismantled district opponent Thackerville (0-6, 0-3), 54-6, Friday at home.

Reds meet Elks in short week

The third and final Thursday night game for the Class 4A, No. 7 Clinton football team (4-2 overall, 2-1 in district) begins at 7 p.m. this Thursday at the Tornado Bowl against the Elk City Elks (0-6, 0-3) ahead of fall break.

Reds’ run game soars over Elgin

ELGIN – A complete game didn’t come to fruition Friday night on the road, but the Clinton football team (4-2 overall, 2-1 in district) kept its collective head above a sea of penalties to beat the Elgin Owls (2-3, 1-2) in a district contest, 41-21.
