OKC cruises in series opener against Lakers

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Chet Holmgren had 24 points and 12 rebounds, and the Oklahoma City Thunder routed the Los Angeles Lakers 108-90 on Tuesday night in Game 1 of their Western Conference semifinal series. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Ajay Mitchell each added 18 points for the Thunder.

Lady Reds cage Lady Chicks in overtime battle

With the stakes at a higher level in the playoffs, the Clinton Lady Reds soccer team (10-5) felt the pressure as it needed to come from behind and win 3-2 over the Chickasha Fighting Chicks in overtime in Chickasha Tuesday.

Clinton track and field sending six to state

Clinton track and field found success at the Class 4A Regional Meet over the weekend in Plainview, as six members of the program punched their tickets to the state meet in Catoosa. For Coach Cory Strahorn, he said he knew who would be moving on when they competed at regionals.

Indians dominate Bulldogs to advance to state

With the Arapaho-Butler Indians baseball team only needing to win against Empire Friday to advance, the Indians (23-3) took down the Bulldogs 11-0 behind a no-hitter in five innings from Jiles Southall.

A-B opens regional tourney with one-sided wins

In the first day of the Class A Regional Tournament, the Arapaho-Butler Indians (21-3) beat Wayne 17-0 and behind Luke Bailey’s no hitter, they took down Empire 10-0 Thursday on their home field to set up a chance to advance to state Friday.
