(AP) – A federal immigration judge has granted asylum to a woman orphaned in Iran in the 1970s and adopted by an American war veteran, who immigration officials threatened earlier this year with deportation to the country with which the U.S. is now at war.

Large illegal pot bust made in Arapaho

A massive amount of illegal marijuana plants was seized by the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics Monday at a grow facility in Arapaho.The OBN’s Marijuana Enforcement Teams (MET) served a search warrant at Yaqin Lin LLC., located at 10050 U.S. Highway 183, located south of Western Equipment.

Math club helps sharpen skills

Southwest Elementary students have a chance to get invited to a fifthgrade math club with Regina “Mrs. M” Miller, math teacher, leading the way. Fifth-grade students may get invited into the club as well if they pass their Twister Time tests.

Citizen of Year nominations sought
