Practice can start next week

Multiple athletics are allowed to begin practice next Thursday for the fall seasons, according to the Oklahoma Secondary School Activities Association (OSSAA). Clinton volleyball, Clinton fast-pitch softball, Arapaho-Butler fast-pitch softball and A-B baseball are all allowed to start practice.

A perfect, 4-0 record in the state bracket and a score differential of 38-1 headlined a totally-in-command, state championship-winning run for the Arapaho-Butler 12U softball team a few weeks ago.

Tourney to be held in Land’s honor

The Hammon All Sports Club is hosting the First Annual Michael Land Memorial Basketball Tournament Saturday July 24 and Sunday July 25, at Hammon schools located at 8th street and Shockey St. The registration cost is $200 per team and the deadline is Saturday July 10.

CHS volleyball looks to experience for better season

It’s the third season for Clinton head volleyball coach Tobi-Rae Barker, and she looks for the roster to be much improved, after entering 2020 with just one returning starter. The team returns nearly the entire varsity roster and almost all of the starters and contributors from 2020’s 8-13 squad.

Kentner excelling in adversity
