CHS baseball earns fourth in back-to-back tourneys

For the second straight weekend, the Clinton baseball team (8-7 overall) ended with a fourth-place finish at a tournament, repeating its results from the I-40 Classic, at the Kingfisher-Piedmont Tourney Saturday.

CHS keeps rolling through district

Another pair of district games and another dominant sweep took place Thursday night at home for the Clinton soccer program, shutting out both Classen SAS squads.

Reds capture wins in tourney openers

The winning streak for the Clinton baseball team (8-5 overall) was pushed out to four games Thursday with a pair of wins in the Kingfisher-Piedmont Tournament. The Reds defeated Putnam City West (1-17) in five innings, 20-1.

CHS opens districts with shutout

It had been two years since the Clinton soccer program had played in a district contest, but the gap didn’t change anything for the Reds and Lady Reds Tuesday night at home, as both teams swept Elgin for the program’s 17th consecutive district sweep.

Track trio does it again

Clinton track’s young throwing trio, featuring freshman Montiel Crane, sophomore Lola Hester and freshman Kat Meacham placed for the fourth consectuive meet to open the season, at Thomas this past weekend. Meacham led the way, earning first place in the discus, throwing 101 feet and 4.75 inches.
