Kauk fights back from injury

There would’ve been more chances to play and start for Clinton senior first baseman Grant Kauk, had the 2020 season not been lost to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, Kauk is adapting to the unfair punches his athletic career has given him.

A-B takes two wins

Pugh resigns as head coach

As much as Clinton boys’ head basketball coach Chad Pugh is proud of his team’s accomplishments over his five years, he’s more so proud of the culture he created in the program and that he calls the once-rivaled city his home now.

Clinton girls finish fourth overall at home

Nice weather at the start of the Clinton girls’ golf team’s home tournament Wednesday proved to be short-lived as a cold wind, and later, rain kept the poor weather streak going for the season, in a fourth-place team finish for the Lady Reds. Senior Loren Coleman headlined all CHS scorers again.

CHS completes I-40 domination

In less than a week’s time, the Clinton soccer program sealed up its I-40 sweep, defeating Weatherford on the road Thursday and returning home to shut out Elk City Tuesday night. The Clinton girls (9-2 overall, 4-0 in district) needed a bounce back, despite beating Weatherford 3-2.

Jackson logging record-breaking year at UALR

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – It’s been a year of accolades and a new record for University of Arkansas at Little Rock hurdler and 2017 Clinton graduate Ka’Neisha Jackson. After not getting a spring season last year due to COVID-19, Jackson is off to far and away the best collegiate season in her career.

CHS can’t find gaps against Weatherford

WEATHERFORD – The Clinton baseball team (11-8 overall, 6-2 in district) put numerous hits deep into the outfield and at the warning track but nearly all found the grasp of Weatherford (17-9, 10-1) in a 9-3, Custer County Conflict, district defeat Monday night.
