CHS features 20 athletes at next level

The Clinton High School sports’ brand keeps expanding across the Sooner state and into others as well, with 20 Red Tornado athletes playing at the next level this year. It’s a diverse group as far as athletics are concerned.

CHS celebrates run, wants more

Reestablishing a longtime dynasty that falls on hard times isn’t easy, but Clinton football is officially back on that path with a Class 4A state runner-up finish in 2020. It was the team’s first appearance in the title game in nearly 10 years.

Indians take down ranked rival

Wins over rivals are always sweet, but a win on the road, against a ranked, previouslyundefeated rival is hard to top – the No. 4 Arapaho-Butler boys’ basketball team (8-0 overall) did just that last Thursday, defeating No. 10 Canute (7-1), 56-49.

CHS drops openers at Blanchard

BLANCHARD – Both Clinton basketball teams got on the floor for the first time this season Friday and flashed some of their potential in a pair of losses to the Blanchard Lions. The Lady Reds (0-1 overall) kept the game close through one half against the No. 17 Blanchard girls (3-2).
