The starting units for the Clinton High School softball team are set headed into the season opener at 4:15 p.m. Monday at home against Sayre. Although the COVID-19 pandemic shuttered the slow-pitch season in the spring, CHS got plenty of reps this summer.

A highly-successful and familiar face to the Clinton wrestling program is back, with the return of former head coach Shawn Finch after three years at Noble. Finch led Clinton for five years, from 2012-2017.

The Clinton softball program is putting on its fifth annual 100-inning game fundraiser at 9 a.m. Saturday. The proceeds will go to the program for meals, uniforms, etcetera. Alumni are invited to compete in the extended contest.

HOBART – Pitching and defense were at the forefront of the Clinton softball team’s split of its summer league doubleheader Monday. The Lady Reds (4-5 record in summer league) played clean defense, logging zero errors and allowing just four total runs across 10 innings.

CMS football equipment checkout Tuesday; physicals Aug. 7

The Clinton Middle School football program is checking out its equipment for the upcoming school year at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. Tuesday. The eighth graders will pick up their gear first and the seventh graders will follow. Also, the Clinton Public School sent out an email regarding physicals this year.
